Our ride to church is over a pretty pastoral road. There is a nice view of the church at the top of the hill over a little valley. If you look closely, you can see the spire right in the middle of this picture. The building is a little cozy (small) for the large ward, but it is new and pretty. It was fun looking around and wondering who would be our new friends. This is an Internet savy ward. They even have a Relief Society site where sisters can chat online. It was ward conference, and with all the visitors people pretty much ignored us till they read our records in. After that, we made a lot of new friends!
If they are internet savy, they must be younger. I can't even get my peeps to join Facebook, because they think they are too old for it. Note that we only have one cousin on Facebook and she is the youngest.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of a RS chat room. Very cool!
ReplyDeleteApologies all around for ignoring you :) I even sat during Sacrament and thought - "this is a bad Sunday for anyone new to the ward". It's so hard with all the stake visitors there! But I promise this is a wonderful ward and you will find this to be a great Relief Society. There are a lot of younger sisters, but even the ones in the "more mature" age bracket are involved with the sisters site.
ReplyDeleteWe are moving into the ward from out of the state in two weeks. I am wondering if their is an active facebook page or something so we can try to get help moving in.
