Did I mention it rained? This was the scene on our patio at 4 p.m., an hour before the wedding open house for Connor and Amber Rigby. We had to opt for plan B and move all the tables into the basement for the reception. Fortunately, there was room for everything we needed.
It stopped raining just in time for us to put up some bunting lining the walkway to the back yard.
By the time the guests started arriving (the Links, pictured here), the umbrellas were optional.
Ed spent the first hour making sure everyone could find a parking spot. Between our front yard and Tally Ho Court, there was plenty of room for everyone!
Coda tried to greet each guest, but eventually became overwhelmed by the sheer numbers and settled for just wandering around and seeing who would pet her.
They had a nice spread of food, but the truly memorable part of the evening was the vast array of designer cupcakes! I'm sorry to say, some of us had to try more than one. They were delicious!
Connor and Amber were a beautiful couple and very gracious to all their guests. We hope this bodes well for them in their married life, and that any rain in future may be as insignificant as the storm was last night. There's always a plan B!
Those cupcakes look delicious!
