Ed was out of town last night, so Amanda and I went to Baltimore for dinner and a movie. We ate crepes (delicious) and saw Twenty Feet From Stardom. It was a very interesting documentary about backup singers. Amanda thought that backup singing looked like a fun job.
The theater is on a sketchy street, but there were lot of college students hanging around the restaurants, which made it feel somewhat safer. The presence of a police kiosk doesn't always inspire confidence in me, however. I wonder, "Why do they need a police kiosk on this corner?"
Amidst the sea of shuttered buildings there was the occasional fun graffiti. I especially enjoyed this panel! We had a great night and, happily, arrived home safely!
