Wouldn't you know, the long promised rain finally came in
spades today! It was pouring this morning when we got up. That was great
timing, as we went to church in Washington, and spent the whole morning
indoors. It was amazing that several people said they remembered us from when
we visited two years ago! I guess they don’t get a lot of visitors in their
little branch.
In the afternoon we had a delicious salad with raspberries,
goat cheese and chicken for lunch. David and Rachael are all about fresh ingredients.
We feel bad about them feeding us so much. Not bad enough to turn them down,
however!
I got an after lunch smooch from Ed while sitting on Kate’s
pretty butterfly chair.
It eventually stopped raining and I was able to walk up to the main
highway to get my step count up today.
We were able to sit on the pier and watch the sun go down
again tonight! It was so beautiful, as were our toenails!
David and Rachael’s house looked so pretty lit up at night.
We’re home at our house now awaiting the arrival of Brittany, John, Amanda, Nolan and
Crystal. We hope they aren't too tired, as we have big plans for them tomorrow!
