The Book it Sisters met at Panera Monday to review Ghost Boy, by Martin Pistorius. It was an incredible story of a boy who gets sick and wakes up trapped in a body unable to communicate with the world. After a dozen years, a healthcare worker insists she thinks he knows what is going on. He is tested, and learns to communicate with machines and computers. While not elegantly written, the story is so compelling you can't put it down.
Mary was shocked to find out she had read the wrong book, also titled Ghost Boy! It was about an albino who joins the circus. She highly recommends it!
