First Campath

I survived the Campath treatment, but now without incident. The first hour and 15 minutes I was up playing the banjo, and they it struck! Fever, chills, uncontrolled muscle spasms. I hopped in bed with five blankets. After putting some medicine in my IV they turned off the chemo drip and waited a while before starting it at half speed. That seemed to work, and I made it successfully through it!

In the afternoon the fun began! Ed and Crystal brought me a stuffed pig they had pulled out of Mr. Claw at Smith's on just one attempt! My lucky pig. I thought I should call him Mr. Measles as he has polka dots all over. Crystal voted for nacho after my nodules! We also had uke and guitar fun. The nurses can hear us, but luckily the other rooms on both sides are well insulated!

The first hour and 15 minutes of my Campath treatment I enjoyed playing the banjo, and even wrote  song about being in the hospital.

Buck up, Buttercup

Buck up, Buttercup
You think your life is tough
Buck up, Buttercup
You're made of sterner stuff!

You've had a few good years
You've had a few good tears
You've had joy and you've had sorrow.
Don't know what comes on the morrow!

If anyone would like to add some new words to the verse, it would be fun to see them!

Ed took Crystal to the airport tonight. It was so fun seeing her. Ed will miss her as much as a I do. In addition to having someone to hangout with at home, she was his ticket the carpool lane!
