Ed Birthday Eve

Ed's birthday is not till tomorrow, but he had several pre-birthday specials. After work he was serenaded by our Salvadoran remodeling crew with Un Día Grande, Las Mañanitas and Happy Birthday. We gave them some leftover carrot cake that Ed brought home from his work birthday celebration. So, they felt they needed to give us a song. I'll try to post it later on Youtube.

Brittany flew in this afternoon, so we have not one, but two daughters in town! It makes our new home feel even more like home than ever. Janet (from across the street) gave us a whole bucket of beautiful hydrangeas which really make the kitchen look festive.

And, Amanda put her cupcake decorating skills to work tonight to make Ed a spaghetti and meatball cupcake cake for his birthday tomorrow. The parmesan cheese on top is really shredded white chocolate, and the meatballs are chocolate balls dipped in strawberry jam!
