My niece, Kate and her new husband, Hakan dropped by on their way from Tennessee to Oregon this week. It was fun getting to know him a little. He's from Turkey, and they're planning on having a belated wedding celebration next year when his parents can come out and be with them.
They stayed with grandma, who was nice enough to invite Barbara and me down for lunch so we could grill them on their plans for the future! They are both working on the PhD's, and have lots to look forward to!
