Ed and I went to the Alpine Days Parade on Saturday. One of the nice things about wearing a sun hat, is it's not quite so noticeable that I have no hair. I felt pretty good and looked almost normal!
We thought of Amanda when the parade of John Deere tractors went down the street. She and Nolan moved to Dubuque, Iowa this summer. It is the headquarters for John Deere. She says half the people at church are employed by Deere. Nolan is employed by the University of Dubuque.
In the evening we took Barbara and Kent out to supper. They had spent the past two days moving into their new house and were a little tired! We loved the Indian food at Saffron in South Jordan.
We also loved sitting on their back deck after the sun went behind the Oquirrh Mountains. They have a beautiful panoramic view, of which this is only a portion. The house right behind them belongs to Eli and Lacy, as well as Calvin and June. They're going to enjoy being so close to the grandkids!
