On Friday we made our s'mores (which were rained out on Thursday) at high noon. It was hot cooking in the full sun!
I sat in the shade and handed out marshmallows and ate my s'mores in comfort! Mabel and Clementine liked them, especially if they could take them apart and eat each part separately.
In the afternoon we took them down to the Alpine days carnival at Creekside park. The bouncy castles were just their speed.
They liked driving the duck, but had no idea how to control it. They mostly went in circles, regardless of whether Mabel of Clementine was driving! We wanted to jump in and help them!
The taller slides were a bit scary for Clementine, but Mabel loved them.
Brittany had to go up and encourage Clementine to go down. We thought she was going to hold her on her lap. Apparently, Clementine thought the same thing, and was a little off balance as she came down the slide!
We finished up a lovely afternoon with peach ice cream cones. It was so nice to be able to be a part of such a fun tradition at Alpine Days! I felt pretty good, and as long as I could find a bit of shade to sit in I was fine!
