My platelets were still too low today to start treatment tomorrow. They were 33 and need to be 75. Apparently, an antiviral drug I'm taking for cytomegalovirus is suppressing the platelets, but I have to take it for several more days. Although I need to start chemo again, it is nice to have this break and feel decent for a few days.
My WBC is still reasonable, so as long as things stay stable till I start treatment again, it's okay. I intend to enjoy these few days off. It might be months before I get a reprieve again!
