Tuesday we went on Alpine Nature Hike #3. Debby brought her grandchildren, who were great hikers, and found our first flower, a yellow clover!
We stopped by to see the poppies at Lambert ruin, but they are in serious decline!
Happily, the California poppies are still in great form. They seem to have a much longer blooming season than the red poppies, who probably just don't like the heat! We didn't like the heat much either! It was 95 degrees yesterday!
