Ed and I took the kayak out for the first time this summer last night. It was a beautiful evening, and we rowed out to the buoys at the Carroll County water intake station.
We took a picnic lunch from the Old World Deli, and enjoyed going ashore to relax and refresh ourselves before turning back.
Liberty Reservoir is gigantic, and you feel all alone in the forest. It turns out we were right near the end of Oakland Road, the street we live on! We mapped our ride with Mapmywalk.com. If you take a look at our course we were very wobbly on the way out. We're wondering if it's harder going against the current, because on the way back we came straight as an arrow. I'm loving this new app. Check out our ride at: http://www.mapmywalk.com/workout/344852481!
