We picked up a beautiful and delicious strawberry dream cake last night at the scout fundraiser and took it to our neighborhood Cinco de Mayo party this afternoon.
It was hosted by the Lewises, and as always, was the opening to our summer socializing. It was fun to see everyone again after a winter of hibernation.
There are 10 homes on our street and most of them have young children--all girls, except for three boys! They are very amenable, as you can see by their willingness to pose in a group shot on Megan and Chris's porch.
We even took a second shot where I got in the picture by perching the camera on the top of their well pipe! We were happy to have a dry beautiful day, after several weeks of nagging rain!
