We met the Nortons in Bluffdale yesterday for a lively game of pickelball. The enemy turned out to be the wind. If you had the wind at your back you were very likely to win! Despite the stiff breeze, it was a beautiful spring day, and we enjoyed a Hawaiian lunch at Mo Betta in Lehi afterwards!

Stitches
It was fun seeing the girls this weekend. Clementine is sporting a nice bandage on her forehead. She got stitches after hitting her head on the wall. As there were no witness, we're not sure how involved Mabel was in the accident....
We had them decorate their little houses on Saturday while we watched conference. Even though they both have a house, they spend more time together in one small space. The difference between happily playing and fighting is razor thin!
Brittany and I made a beautiful and tasty panzanella salad on Saturday. Nothing like fresh homemade croutons with a pile of vegetables!

Band Practices
Alpine Sage had 5 out of six in attendance on Thursday! It really helps when we have some singers show up! We have fun either way, and are really enjoying the numbers on our new set!
And the Pinyon Rats are just as much fun! We practiced during the day on Saturday, which made us more alert than usual! It is really fun getting some numbers down by memory. Someday we'll throw away the music stands!
Ed even practiced a few days on his own last week! He's starting to get serious about bass runs!

A Touch of Maryland
Bob and Jeff came to Utah yesterday--mainly for the skiing, but they stayed overnight with us one night to catch up on old times. It was good to see them and Ed had a great time talking about what's new at Northrop Grumman! It made me realize how much stress these men go through at work! I'm glad Ed is free from it now! They stayed up late, and by 10 p.m. I was having a hard time keeping up with their acronyms! It's like they speak a different language!
It's hard to believe Ed has been retired for 3 years now! But with good friends like these he just picks up where they left off! Thanks for dropping by!

Fur, Feathers and Family!
When we came home we found a beautiful Cooper's hawk in our tree and no birds at our bird feeder! I guess he scared them all off!
We had fun going out to lunch with Mom at the Olive Garden. It was a perfect rainy day for their soup and salad special!
Sunday Choir at the Bush House
We have choir practice at our house Sunday afternoons. Ed sets up chairs and then we hope we get enough people to fill them up! I'm so proud of our little choir. This is us on Sunday practicing our Easter Song, The Master Shepherd! They not only sound beautiful, but they are nice enough to let me videotape them! That's a fun bunch of people! The video is a little jittery, but it turns out is is not as easy as you think to hold up a video camera while waving your arm in time to the music!
Rusty Pickleballers
We had some pickelball fun with the Sardonis and their children Saturday night. We actually had 8 people (Liz and Rebecca left before the picture). It was great having enough to switch partners and move up and down a court as you won and lost. We were a little rusty, but it made us get in the mood for more play in the summer!
Afterwards we went over to Spitz in Lehi to try out the cuisine! It was delicious and reminded us a lot of our trip to Egypt and Israel. We had lamb and beef doner wraps. It was pretty packed, so it seems a lot of people also like this restaurant!
