Fairview Grave Decorating

We met at my mom's house yesterday to go down to Fairview to decorate graves. Clementine can not only climb onto the piano bench alone, but knows how to look right at the camera and smile! Mom's house is being remodeled, and the piano was the only piece of furniture in the living room!

It's a lot of work cleaning the stones and hammering holes into the ground to place the flowers.

Mabel wanted to help. So, she got to hold the flowers! This is the beautiful view from my Dad's grave!

John asked Mabel what was in the graves. She said "skeletons," so I guess she has the right idea.

Mom got a little worn out in the hot sun, but she was still able to lead us to all the graves of our ancestors, and there are five generations in Fairview!

We ran into my cousin Debra and Aunt Nadine and family at the cemetery.

Mabel made a little friend with ehr third cousin, Evelyn!

We had a picnic outside the museum. We had brought a lot of food, but met some new friends who gave us a lot of their leftover food! We weren't uncomfortable abut that. All people from Fairview are family, anyway!
