Night on the Town

Ed and I got all dressed up last night to attend the Goddard Memorial Space dinner in Washington DC. Lisa Meyers, NBC correspondent, (on the big screen behind us) was the guest speaker. We were lucky to be able to stay at the Hilton afterwards rather than drive home. We had some good dinner companions, and really enjoyed the meal. It was delicious, except for the "Mini Georgetown" mystery dessert. The table guests couldn't decide weather it was a green tea or fish puree gelatin mold on a cookie crumb crust. Most of us passed on it. I ate the crust. Fortunately, we also had pecan monkey bread and cherry Garcia ice cream to distract us. Ed happily ate it all. I'm so lucky to have a husband who isn't a picky eater. Or, is it years of living with my cooking that has trained him?
