Memorial Day Dutch Oven Cookout

The Stephens family hosted a Memorial Day Dutch oven cookout. It was really more like a ward party, as they had a terrific turnout. They had 28 dutch ovens cooking when we arrived. They had stuffed pork loin, enchiladas, ribs, and even turtle cake in the dutch ovens.

I made some cupcakes decorated to look like apples. It was a recipe I got from Amanda, who has started baking this year.

Carrie Weatherbee, whose husband, Gordon, is a beekeeper (as a hobby), made a beehive cake.

We ate enough at the party that we don't really need to eat for the rest of the week.
