Amanda and Judy's Great Adventure

Amanda met me at Denver International Airport this morning, with her U-Haul all packed and ready to move to Baltimore. She was somewhat nostalgic to start this unknown stage of life. We headed east and drove all day.

We stopped in Burlington to ride the 105 year-old carousel. During our 24 years in Colorado we never took the time to go to see it.

We had to hang on tight, as it rotates at 12 miles per hour, 50% faster than a traditional up and down carousel!

We stopped at Reynaldo's for Mexican food and to give me time to scratch my poison-ivy rash (Could my lovely copse harbor such an evil weed?).

We made it to our hotel in Topeka by 8:15 p.m.

  1. Too bad about the poison Ivy. The merry-go-round makes me dizzy just look at it, but the animals are pretty.
