Hiking Rocky Ridge

Kathy Palmer was the fearless leader of the hiking ladies this morning. She and Jill (who couldn't come with us) planned out a great 4 mile hike for us in Lambert park, complete with cairns to show us where to turn! She also gave us historical tidbits as we walked along!

It couldn't have been a nicer day! We wound our way up above the Corkscrew path to the end of the park and back.

We got spread out a little when some of us stopped to check out the plants.

The views of the valley are great, and we loved the greenery!

Among our favorite plants were a few tufted evening primroses, with their heart shaped petals,

as well as some wavy Indian Paintbrush. I hate for spring to end, because I'm fearful summer won't have such a colorful array of flowers! We'll see!
