Horsetail Falls Two

We hiked up to Horsetail Falls this morning with Brittany, John and the girls. The trailhead is only a mile from our house. We went as far as the viewpoint and decided that was good enough!

The trail was pretty steep on the way up. It took us 2 hours to go two miles! (and half of that going back!)

We passed a lot of hikers, dogs, and even a few horses!

We ate our traditional peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on a rock before turning back.

I shared my cheese ducks with Mabel!

On the way back we found our bridge had been augmented! Ed put a couple of logs across the stream to help us fjord it on the uphill climb. When we came back there were 5 more logs! It was much easier to cross. Thank you fellow hikers!
