Serving Tme with the Nortons

Our friends, the Nortons, took us to lunch at the Utah State Prison today! They know the most interesting places!

The Serving Time Cafe is in a government-issue building just this side of the barbed wire fence. It is run by women serving time!

They had a good sense of humor on the names of many of the menu items (like Prison Blues Burger). I had the Navajo Taco, which was only $5.49, and very delicious!

We also sold our beloved Mini-Cooper today to Carmax. Someone is going to get a terrific car! It is 5 years old and has only 33,000 miles on it! We realized with Ed retired we just didn't need three cars, and this one wasn't getting out much!

After our big car pay-off we were feeling flush and Ed let me buy a fancy set of Pans at Sam's Club!

Chuck and Renee were nice enough to drive us home in their new truck after we sold our car. They are good friends to say, "Sure, we'll drop you off!"  Alpine and Herriman aren't exactly next door to each other. Fortunately, the Nortons are also retired, and every day is Saturday to them as well (except Sunday)!
