Yesterday we went to see the Tulips at Thanksgiving Point this year! They were fantastic, and we had a beautiful day to see them. We found 14 of the 15 wooden shoes hidden around the garden! We didn't find anyone in our party motivated enough to retrace our route to find the last shoe!
John and Brittany like to watch gardening shows on TV and had a surprising wealth of information about the flowers in bloom!
Ed and I were wondering why a leisurely stroll through the gardens is more tiring than a brisk 3 mile walk in Lambert Park!
By the end we were wishing Mabel and Clementine would pull us in the wagon!
We regrouped and refreshed with lunch at the Trellis restaurant! It was fun playing with twisty straws and eating al fresco!
If I'm still well enough in a couple of weeks we might have to go back and see the tulips more fully in bloom, and to find that darn wooden shoe #14!
